New Donations from Alberta

Thank you to our Southern Alberta Division members for their continuous efforts to support the High Fives for Kids Foundation and for giving back to their community!

AIA Southern Alberta members visiting the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, June 19, Calgary. From left: Lyndon Raugust, Alan Jamieson, Kate Wilson, Bruce Cowling and Frank Hutchins. Donations from groups like AIA Southern Alberta help provide funding for family centred child health programs, specialized life-saving equipment and advanced pediatric research and education at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. A cheque for $2,500 was presented to Kate Wilson and her team.

AIA Southern Alberta members visiting YMCA Calgary Sheriff King Home, June 19, Calgary From left: Bruce Cowling, Alan Jamieson, Shone Thistle, Frank Hutchins and Ron Kolody. The YWCA Sheriff King Home emergency shelter provides basic needs including food and personal items. On site case managers provide counselling and connect clients to resources for housing programs, legal services, and education supports. The goal of the YWCA Sheriff King Home emergency shelter is to provide safety and security and then to establish a transition plan to ensure safety and security can become a regular way of life. A cheque for $1,500 was presented to Shone and her team.
